Kimberly considers leaving Fox Valley Metro Police Department
KIMBERLY, WI—(WISS)— Kimberly may pull out of the Fox Valley Metropolitan Police Department. Instead it would contract with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office to supply law enforcement services to the village. Before they do so, the village will host public listening sessions to give residents a chance to weigh in on the decision.
The listening sessions are Monday, June 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. in Evergreen Room 515 in the Municipal Complex. They will include presentations by the Fox Valley Metropolitan Police Department and the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department.
“After a thirty-year partnership with the Village of Little Chute, the Village of Kimberly is looking to the future as it pertains to the financial viability of continuing the partnership, as growth within Kimberly is limited,” a press release from the village said. “The Village of Kimberly is clear in stating repeatedly that this exploration is strictly focused on the future long-term financial viability of the joint police department.”

Combined Locks was once a part of the Fox Valley Metro Police Department. That village left in 2017 to contract its law enforcement services with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.
